Recently, at the 2024 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of New Leaders--- Summer Davos Forum, Wan Gang, Chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology, responded to the trade barriers set up by the European Union and the United States by stating that electric vehicles are the trend of development, and this trend is unstoppable. We should firmly follow this path and not slow down the pace of development just because there are setbacks in the middle.

Regarding the recent trade frictions in the electric vehicle market, Wan Gang stated that the Chinese market has already achieved internationalization, and there is no consensus on establishing trade barriers. Many EU countries have also expressed opposition to this. He believes that the reason why foreign markets are surprised or even panicked about China's electric vehicles is that trade and investment have not yet been combined. He believes that new energy companies can start trying to invest in Europe. Through investment, Chinese enterprises have entered the local industrial chain and expanded the process of globalization.

Wan Gang stated that although there are currently some geopolitical influences, from the government's perspective, both sides should engage in good consultations on the path of global economic development.
